Seatrade is a participant in the USDC Seafood Inspection Program (contract no. 1105) which is run by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) under the auspices of the United States Department of Commerce. NMFS conducts a voluntary in-plant seafood inspection program on a fee-for-service basis.

National Marine Fisheries also provides HACCP plan development, training, implementation assistance and verification services to the seafood industry (domestic and foreign) in connection with the FDA’s HACCP Rule (21 CFR Parts 123 and 1240) regarding “Procedures for the Safe and Sanitary Processing and Importing of Fish and Fishery Products” which was implemented on December 18, 2007.

All of Seatrade’s processing facilities are HACCP approved. Please see our HACCP Compliance Letter in this section.
